WEEK 16: LANGUAGE

If I could, I would love to speak French. It seems to me a precious language and I have been always attracted to that language. Despite having studied at school and later in high school, I have barely level since we did not go deep enough in it and I almost do not remember anything. But someday I would love to get back to trying to learn it.

 My other ways of learning English, besides going to class, are doing the grammar book exercises, watching English videos about beauty, humour, philosophy..., watching series and films in English and reading in English.

I would like to discuss an issue that I am not in agreement with: the rise of betting houses. As every body knows, gambling is a serious problem that affects more and more young people and more families. Those who suffer from this problem are getting poorer, while the owners of the betting houses, are becoming richer. Gambling is the addiction to game, and it is so serious that it can lead the person to lose their home and even their family for risking all their money. I tell you all this because the saddest thing about this whole thing, is that people are starting to frequent these types of sites at an early age. It is becoming more and more common among young people and I think it is something very serious and that has to be solved as soon as possible.
